First, make it safe
- Burst pipe or major leak: close the main water stopcock, usually near the meter at the boundary wall.
- Water near electrics or a sagging ceiling: switch off that circuit at the DB board and keep people out of the room.
- Sparks or a burning smell: switch off the mains and call an electrician. We don't do electrical work.
